T H E A R T I S T
While living in New York, pursuing a career in marketing, I found myself continually drawn to the city museums and art exhibitions. After my return to Charlotte in 2020, I took a leap of faith and dedicated my time and energy to art via classes and workshops, exploring different mediums and subjects. My inner child comes alive during the creative process and is reflected in all of my work.
As a new mother, I find myself seeing the world through the lens of my son's experiences, at the same time I influence and learn from him. He inspires me to imagine how the newness of everything unfolds, how colors slowly come into focus and how new textures feel to the touch, while the varying vantage points of his perspective and the vast sensory stimulation in his world motivate my ideas. My work reflects the lessons and learnings from my son, and my hope is that it encourages others to celebrate their own inner child.
